Historic archive: Environment and Planning series

The original journal, Environment and Planning, was founded in 1969 and gradually expanded to four self-standing journals in the series, publishing around 300 papers in a total of 30 issues each year.

Many important, ground-breaking papers have been published in the Environment and Planning series of journals. Now the availability of a complete electronic archive offers easy access to the wealth of material that our journals contain.

The most recent 10 years of the back file are available free to current subscribers. Access to the deep archive—that is, the archive from the start of the journals to 2000— will be available for purchase for a one-time fee. Combined, the 10-year back file and the deep archive will give users electronic access to everything published in the Environment and Planning journals since their inception.

Publications available
The archive provides access to all four Environment and Planning titles and to another Pion journal, Perception, from the start of publication up to and including 2000. The period from 2001 to 2010 is covered by a 10-year back file which will be free with a corresponding print subscription.
